Advertisement for Lavoix et Mosès in January 1909 L'Aérophile.

French patent agent Lavoix et Mosès in 1909 advertised their address as 7, rude de Chateaudun, Paris.[1] The same advertisement also makes makes clear that the firm facilitates filing abroad as well as in France.

We believe that these are Antoine Lavoix and Louis Mosès. We gathered these given names from American patents. Patent US-1906-1055487 has Antoine Lavoix acting as a "witness", along with Hanson C. Coxe, on a patent filed by Alphonse Papin. Patent US-1912-1133660 has Louis Mosès acting as a "witness", along with the same Hanson C. Coxe, on a patent filed by Alphonse Papin and Didier Rouilly. It seems that these French patent agents served as "witnesses" relative to the American patent office, on behalf of these French inventors with whom they had a business rapport.
