Advertisement for Lavoix et Mosès in January 1909 L'Aérophile.

French patent agent Lavoix et Mosès in 1909 advertised their address as 7, rue de Chateaudun, Paris.[1] The same advertisement also makes makes clear that the firm facilitates filing abroad as well as in France.

We believe that these are Antoine Lavoix and Louis Mosès. We gathered these given names from American patents. Patent US-1906-1055487 has Antoine Lavoix acting among witnesses, along with Hanson C. Coxe, on a patent filed by Alphonse Papin. Patent US-1912-1133660 has Louis Mosès acting among witnesses, along with the same Hanson C. Coxe, on a patent filed by Alphonse Papin and Didier Rouilly. It seems that these French patent agents served as "witnesses" relative to the American patent office, on behalf of these French inventors with whom they had a business rapport.

Patent US-1912-1099424 has Antoine Lavoix acting among witnesses along with Lucien Memminger, this latter being recurrent as well, though to a lesser extent.

We have other corroborating information that this firm was created by Antoine Lavoix and Louis Mosès, and indication that their offices were moved to 2, place d’Estienne d’Orves, at the foot of the Église de la Trinité church in Paris, in 1909.[2] We realize that the antique advertisement featured here also features the year 1909. This location 2, place d’Estienne d’Orves, is allegedly their present location as well.

Very late in our patent data spread we have Lavoix, Mosès et Genet.[3]
