Tragfläche (pl. Tragflächen) is an aeronautics term commonly used in German-language patents (and other publications) with no perfect English translation. "Sustaining surface" comes close, whereas "wing" might be more ordinary.

Tragflügel is used, in reference to roughly the same element, in Patent DE-1916-337522 and Patent DE-1919-343385 by Hugo Junkers.

Tragdeck was also used to describe the sustaining surfaces of an Eindecker, Doppeldecker, Mehrdecker, etc.
