Alois Wolfmüller was a German aero inventor and engineer. He worked on motorcycles and on experimental aircraft.[1] He filed patents from Munich.[2]

He was a friend of Otto Lilienthal and some exchanges of their letters are available.

He cofounded the 1894-97 motorcycle firm Hildebrand & Wolfmüller with Heinrich and Wilhelm Hildebrand.[3]

American patent data has Alois Wolfmüller appearing among witnesses to a patent filed by Karl Ludwig Waldemar Geest.[4]

Patents difficulty: His foreign patents cite German parents of 1909 and 1910 which we can't find. If they weren't accepted by the German system we may want to re-parent them to the earliest foreign ones that were accepted. Or create dummy/ghost ones filling in what the German applications said, on the assumption that they existed, and show the german ones as not-granted.
