August Wendtland was an aero inventor in Wiesbaden, Germany, who filed internationally for an airplane (Drachenflieger) with an air jet system.

His British patents reflect two addresses in Wiesbaden in 1911. First, 15, Nicolaistrasse; and second, 10 Bahnhof Strasse.

He gave his occupation as "Doctor of Philosophy". (Does this mean he was a professor?)
