We have little on Carl Wilhelm Paul, other than that he was an engineer located at 140, Contrescarpe, Bremen-Neustadt, Germany.[1] He worked extensively with Carl Franz Hubert Hertel on "an airplane with a spherical cabin". The two inventors also worked on the airplane more generally and on airplane stability achieved by way of gyroscopic principles and apparatus. Carl Wilhelm Paul also filed on a few occasions on his own, though on work pertinent to these projects, particularly when filing in Great Britain.[2] His work with airships seems to have been non-collaborative.[3]
