This patent makes reference to priority date 1909-02-23, that is, to Patent AT-1909-40038.
Linguistic note: The Hungarian entered data gives the title “Berendezés röpülőgépek légcsavarjainak beállítására”, whereas the original shows “ . . . repülőgépek . . . ”. This happens fairly often. Both terms are still in use, as of this writing. There is ambiguity on “airplane” as opposed to “aircraft”, with the “repülőgépek” spelling perhaps signifying “aircraft”. Regarding this invention, the adjustable propellers in question seem to adjust at least somewhat in the interest of aiding in vertical ascension, in addition to the role they naturally play in terms of forward propulsion.
