Dane Hurlburt was an aero inventor, whom our British data describes as a “Doctor of Dental Surgery” addressed at 3, Haldenstrasse, Lucerne, Switzerland.[1] Some of our French data corroborates his being situated in Switzerland.[2] Other French data locates him within département Alpes-Maritimes, France.[3] This last, though not precise down to the city or street address, is the earliest location data we have. This may be an American, residing temporarily in France, and moving later to Switzerland.

We have Canadian data identifying Hurlburt as “a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Cannes, France”.[4] This comports with his being located within département Alpes-Maritimes.

Patent FR-1909-406982.13066 is a rare case in which notes are made, on the original patent document, conducive to retroactive IPC and-or CPC patent classification.

We have him doing some work with parachutes towards the end of the period on which we are focused, as shown below, this work extending further, along with corroboration of 3, Haldenstrasse, Lucerne, Switzerland, as one residence, Villa Benedicte, Cannes, France, as another, along with citizenship within the United States.[5]
