Alfred Micciollo

Alfred Micciollo was an aero inventor, located at Espaly-Saint-Marcel, département Haute-Loire, France.[1] Given the peculiarity of the family name, and the Haute-Loire location, there is some chance of Alfred's being familially connected to Micciollo-Picasse, though this is not properly established.

We are examining aéronef vis-à-vis questions of HTA versus LTA, with trusted sources treating the former as definitive[2], but with our patent data treating it as fairly exceptional, and with Micciollo's publication titles treating the heavier-than-air "aéronef" as more of an innovation, rather than as an assumption. His publications do post-date the 1903 Commission Permanente Internationale d'Aéronautique that the word pertains to HTA. Our actual data includes some interesting hybrids, after that year, and with a possible LTA bulk usage preceding that year.
