  • Inventor location: Berlin
  • Beginning of patent term is 1 March 1910, a date that does not match grant date or parent filing date. Not clear why.

I believe 1910-03-01 is most analogous to date granted, 1909-03-15 the Austrian filing date, and 1910-07-25 the publication date. The German priority date 1907-12-09 should be the initial German filing date, and this Austrian patent actually gives us the German patent number, though the earliest date of any kind on the original of Patent DE-1907-215602 is 1907-12-10. -JRH

We're dealing with evolving systems, and protocols varied between systems, with filing dates being of the most internationally recognized importance. “Beginn der Patentdauer: 1 März 1910” may almost be a matter of historical nicety, or the date relative to which any expiration will be based, in Austria, with the filing date still being key.

Patent GB-1908-11948 also gives the German priority date 1907-12-09.

Patent HU-1909-48795 fits right in with all of this, and gives the priority date 1907-12-07.
