The Continental-Caoutchouc- und Gutta-Percha-Compagnie, located in Hannover, made balloons, including registering balloons for a meteorological institute. They manufactured the balloon "Svenske" designed by Eric Unge in Stockholm.[1]

The British company Continental Tyre and Rubber Co. seems to have been a subsidiary of CCGPC or perhaps had approximately the same owners; this is not quite clear from our present sources.
