Natural rubber may also go by several other names, within anglophone usage, including caoutchouc, which is otherwise the predominant French term, featured sporadically in our data. As initially produced, it consists of polymers of the organic compound isoprene, with minor impurities of other organic compounds, plus water.[1]
We are currently integrating data pertinent to this. The relevance of synthetic rubber is also to be evaluated.
