This apparatus is named the “pneumostate”. Many of the elements or principles we have associated with stability are involved here.

Among other things, the mobile chassis is fixed under the angle of incidence, and contains to horizontal pendulums, and an indicator of air-directed inertia, compressed by the force of the propeller, on the servo-motors, which, moving via the appropriate cables on the altitude rudder and the ailerons, assure to the airplane automatic stability both transversal and longitudinal.
