Wiener Neustädter Flugfeld
Wiener Neustädter Flugfeld (47° 50′ 23″ N, 16° 13′ 13″ E) was the first Austrian airfield. Airplane hangers were constructed there beginning in July 1909.[1]
Wiener-Neustadt is a small town 50km south of Vienna itself, and appears to have been a hub of aircraft development. See: Ferdinand Porsche, Ludwig Schmidl, Etrich Flieger Werke, Österreichische Daimler Motoren A. G., Osterreichische Flugzeugfabrik AG.
