Société anonyme Astra

Société anonyme Astra was a French company located at 121–123, rue de Bellevue, Billancourt, Seine. It shared this address with the Société de Constructions Aéronautiques, which also used by the name "Astra". Thus we can infer there was a close connection between the two companies. Yet at the same time, we see the two names used in the same time period, at the same office, with the same agent. The concurrent appearance of both names suggests there was a legal distinction and more than simply a name change or alternate name.

The rue de Bellevue in Billancourt, just west of Paris, is across the Seine from the Parc de Saint-Cloud.

We had formerly called this entity "Société anonyme Astra AB", but that is not the name used on most/any of the linked patents, and may have resulted from earlier confusion with another company (the Swedish drug maker eventually becoming AstraZeneca) on espacenet. (Specifically it seems they had "ASTRA AB", now corrected to "ASTRA SA".)
