Patent GB-1912-2754
This patent explains a system of suspending the nacelle of a dirigible in order to increase the pilot's control and smooth the motions of the whole system when ascending or descending.
Note, 2024-01-24: This entry had "Société anonyme Astra AB" as the Applicant firm but I don't see where that comes from. Espacenet has applicant ASTRA SA, while printed in the scan the applicant is "Societe Anonyme Astra, of 121—123, rue de Bellevue, Billancourt, (Seine), in the French Republic. This looks like a probable match, lack of accents notwithstanding, for Société anonyme Astra a.k.a. Société de Constructions Aéronautiques, and may have no relation to the company called ASTRA AB. The addresses seem to match. There may have been a mistaken identity at some point in the espacenet data entry, which has since been cleared up.
