Refers to Dienstbach, 1908, The Perfect Flying Machine about the Wright Flyer.

Overwhelming confirmation follows the AMERICAN AERONAUT's journalistic achievement, last January, of revealing the famous Wright Brothers' secret.
What the press of the world has been triumphantly telling about the Wright Flyer and its marvelous exploits, appeared fact for fact and detail for detail, with even greater comprehensiveness in the leading article of the January number.

American Aeronaut takes issue with the claim of the New York Herald to have discovered the Wrights' secret. A list of eight features of the airplane is provided to demonstrate the similarity of the information presented in the two articles.

Also refers to recent Wright patents in France Patent FR-1908-384124, and Patent FR-1908-384125.

Mr. Dienstbach's exhaustive description of the machine and the principle of its control met with immediate verification in French patents taken out by the brothers during their stay abroad. These patents were awarded January 27, 1908, about ten days after publication in this magazine of "The Perfect Flying Machine".
The patents gave complete details of the development of the Wright Brothers' method of control and fully confirmed the statement in Mr. Dienstbach's article that absolutely nothing had been changed in its principle and furthermore verified everything that appeared in these pages regarding the machine.
The changes comprise the addition of a second vertical rudder in front just behind the horizontal front rudder and a fixed vertical surface between the two sustaining surfaces. The patents give a second plan of two vertical rudders at both sides of the machine.
All of these devices perform exactly the same function as the one vertical rudder in the rear, only more efficiently and promptly. The side twisting has been even more refinred as it was stated in the January number of the AMERICAN AERONAUT and while now only the rear of the front portions of the wing tips are twisted, the inclinations imparted to both are mutually independent.

Followed by Dienstbach, 1908, Recent flights of the Wright Brothers in North Carolina.
