Frédéric-Charles Rossel
Frédéric-Charles Rossel was an aero inventor born 8 April, in Montbéliard, département Doubs, France, deceased in March 1940.[1]
French patent data has him filing from département Doubs, France.[2]
British patent data gives "Sochaux, Montbeliard, Doubs, in France" and has Rossel identified as a Manufacturer.[3] French Wikipedia leads us to believe that Montbéliard and Sochaux are towns located within a few miles of one another, rather than Sochaux being situated within Montbéliard. In any case, it seems that the inventor's birth, and filing, and corporate activity all took place in close proximity, within département Doubs, France, near the border of Switzerland.
Slightly later British patent data gives "Sochaux-Montbéliard" and has Rossel identified as a Mechanical Engineer.[4]
He was a founder of Société Anonyme des Constructions Aériennes Rossel-Peugeot.
See his biography at Frédéric Rossel on French Wikipedia. This corroborates the Sochaux location data we have on Société Anonyme des Constructions Aériennes Rossel-Peugeot.
