Frédéric Malfait was a French aero inventor addressed rue Turbigo, 54, Paris, département Seine, France.[1] He was prolific from 1902-1912. He was active both with airships and with ornithopters. He worked in collaboration with Aline Gay.

It may be that Malfait began working in aviation, or aeronautics, at around the turn of the century, after having done some work in other fields. We have accessed a velocipede patent filed by someone of his name in 1891.[2]

A frédéric malfait aviation Google Search seemingly yields only the patent we have designated as Patent FR-1909-400718.10773, accessed via a Google Books display of "Brevet d'invention: Addition 1909, 10601 - 10800", published by the Office national de la propriété industrielle, per se, as were most of our contemporaneous French patent sources.
