Arthur Otto Sachse

Arthur Otto Sachse (1860–1920) was an Australian consulting engineer, patent agent, and politician. Early in his career he was involved in sugar manufacturing in Oceania, and invented and patented an apparatus for using steam exhaust in making sugar. He moved to Melbourne in 1885 and worked there as a consulting engineer, patent agent, and importer. In 1913 he became president of the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia, and was involved in numerous other organizations and projects.[1]
