Several Westinghouse-associated companies had aero patents. Possibly each company or subsidiary should have a page, or perhaps they should all be discussed here. Hopefully that becomes clear when we learn about their roles in the aero world, and with respect to one another. Data suggests degrees of precise and select interaction between component firms, with similarly precise connexion to developments beyond aero, made applicable to aero.[1]
So Westinghouse may refer to:
- George Westinghouse
- Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company is functionally interchangeable with Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company of Pennsylvania ; we have the location of East Pittsburgh, along with “Manufacturers”.[2] “Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company”, as such, is a “Corporation of Pennsylvania”.[3]
- Westinghouse Air Spring Company, a “Corporation of Pennsylvania”.[4]
- Westinghouse Air Brake
- British Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Co., aka British Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company, aka British Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company Limited
- Société Anonyme Westinghouse, one French branch or incarnation of Westinghouse, having at least one instance of specific operative continuity between this French entity and Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company[5]
- Westinghouse-Leblanc SA, EXPL DES PROCEDES WESTINGHOUSE LEBLANC, French branches or incarnations of Westinghouse, in variable partnership with Maurice Leblanc
- Westinghouse Canada Limited[6]
