Espacenet results on Maurice Leblanc 1900-1920 show quite a lot of filing in Spain, for instance, and with Société Anonyme Westinghouse and Société Anonyme pour l'exploitation des procédés Westinghouse-Leblanc and Westinghouse Canada Limited, implying that Westinghouse-Leblanc co-corporate status was a thing that evolved out of an ongoing relationship. Espacenet sometimes has "Société Anonyme Westinghouse" original document data grouped under "WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP", sometimes not. Possibly société anonyme status was a status granted to well-established companies, without much other work in corporate formation. Key to that status is the right to engage in cooperative ventures internationally. "Société Anonyme Westinghouse" is shown on British and Austrian and and Swiss original patent documents, as well as on the French.

Leblanc doesn't seem to have been thoroughly or directly focused upon aeronautics. The above results also show that he filed in collaboration with other individual inventors.
