Louis Alfred Ponnier had been director of Hanriot factory at Reims.

Made racing monoplane, 1913; M1 biplane fighter, 1915 (believed designed by Hanriot designer Emile E. Dupont); larger 2-seat M2, prototype, 1916. Formed Societe Anonyme Francaise de Constructions Aeronautiques, 1916, which built at least 25 Ponnier M1 for the Belgian Military (Aviation Miltaire Belge).

While naming Societe Anonyme Francaise de Constructions Aeronautiques (SAFCA) under Ponnier, neither G, 2ndG, nor SD has a separate listing for it.

Name: Societe Anonyme Francaise de Constructions Aeronautiques from 1916
