The Scientific Aeroplane and Airship Company was incorporated in 1909 in New York with $50,000 capital by H. C. Beach, W. A. Hayes, and H. C. Evans.[1]

(The name of the company and the surname of the first founder are suggestive of Scientific American, created and run by the Beach family. See Stanley Yale Beach.)
