The Sachsisch-Thuringischer Verein fur Luftschiffahrt (Sa. Th. V.) or Saxon-Thuringian Association for Aerial Navigation was founded on 1 Nov. 1908 at Weimer. Within days there were two sections. A section at Halle, the second section under the association, was founded 5 Nov. 1908. The Halle section had two subgroups, one at Nordhaussen and one at Naumburg and environs. In 1910, 1st Lieutenant Riemann was chairman.
