Three quite distinct uses are described in the abridgment:
- Use of balloons for electrical transmission, telegraphic purposes, and reconnaissance;
- Use of compressed air for launching a projectile;
- Use of electric battery with explosive gas.
- This patent was "Provisional only"
- Brewer and Alexander spelled the third name as Francisse, but it's Francis according to French Wikipedia.[1]
