A map reader for aircraft in which the map is pulled underneath a glass overlay, designed to correspond with a similar apparatus used by a collaborating party on the ground. Cf. Patent FR-1911-433960, also filed by Fairon in 1911, which describes a can for sending a paper message to the ground. The intent would seem to be wartime use.
