This does not refer explicitly to a prior patent but supposedly Hamilton did patent an aeroplane in GB on 4-28-1911, exactly one year before this filing. We haven't found that patent yet but Patent FR-1912-442866 makes priority date to it. Some of the diagrams in this one are identical to the ones in the French one, but it doesn't have all the diagrams in the French one.
