Nuremberg Association for Aerial Navigation

The Nurnberger Verein fur Luftschiffahrt or Nuremberg Association for Aerial Navigation was founded in Nuremberg on 29 Aug. 1908. It joined the DLV (German Aeronaut Federation : Deutscher Luftschiffer-Verband) on 5 Nov. 1908.

In 1910, Ludwig Schutte was president and Gerhard Ley was vice president and office director. There were 267 members, including nine balloon guides. The association owned one free balloon and used the Stadtisches Gaswerk (Municipal Gasworks) at Nuremberg as its balloon place.
