Emil Schimanek was an aero inventor in Budapest who patented an instrument related to engine pressure, and another apparatus possibly related to air pressure around airplanes.
Schimanek was a professor at the Királyi József Műegyetem ("Royal Joseph Polytechnic University") in Budapest, now known as Budapesti Műszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem ("Budapest University of Technology and Economics"). He was dean of the Mechanical Engineering Department in 1916–1918. One of his special areas was heat engines.[1]
