The Ostpreussischer Verein fur Luftschiffahrt or East Prussian Association for Aerial Navigation was founded at Konigsberg on 23 Nov. 1909. It joined the DLV in December 1909.

Count Donhoff, the land steward of Konigsberg, was named honorary chairman and Major Georg von Schoenermarck was elected chairman at founding. There were 176 members, including eight balloon guides. Members could use a balloon place at Konigsberg that was between Louisenwahl and Neuer Bleiche.

1910-1911 Jane's All the World's Aircraft 235 (Nov. 1910) lists "Osspreussischer V.f.L." Presumably that's a misspelling of "Ostpreussicher."

  • Address: c/o Militar-Leehrschmiede, 2 Steindamin, Konigsberg (1910); balloon place at Konigsberg (1910)
