CPC Y is a special set of patent categories, for technologies not elsewhere classified and/or from the USPC system.[1][2]

      • CPC Y10S: Technical subjects covered by former USPC cross-reference art collections (XRACs) and digests ; This subclass was introduced in July 2012 to accommodate for technical subjects formerly covered by USPC cross-reference art collections [XRACs] and digests
      • CPC Y10T: Technical subjects covered by former US classification; This subclass was introduced in January 2015 to accommodate for technical subjects formerly covered by USPC
