The Bremischer Verein fur Luftschiffahrt or Bremen Association for Aerial Navigation was founded in Bremen on 12 Oct. 1909. The first meeting under the constitution was 2 Nov. 1909. It appears to have been one of the founding members of the Nordwestdeutsche Vereinigung fur Luftschiffahrt (NWD V.f.L.) or Northwest German Union for Aerial Navigation at Osnabruck on 10 Jan. 1910. It joined the DLV in March 1910.

There appear to have been elections on 12 Oct. 1909. Initial officers included Vice Admiral von Ahlefeld, chairman; Professor Dr. Grosse, vice chairman; Dr. Grober, secretary; and Franz Quelle, treasurer and office director. In 1910, the association had 200 members.

Affiliated with NWD VfL, 1910, 10 Jan.; DLV, 1910, Mar.
