Before 1910 Russia had a system of fifteen 'groups', changing circa 1913 (in terms of dates granted) into a bigger numbered system similar to Germany, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia.
One earlier patent has Group III/V; this probably means it belongs to both groups III and V.
