Muzzle-loading for ordnance: This US patent subclass relates to applying lubricant to a gun or cartridges being fed into a gun. It is for material loaded "from the forward end of the gun barrel", that is from which the bullet is fired. "Mortars and ordnance wherein the projectile surrounds the barrel are common here."[1][2]
