This appears to be a collection of works, with several listed authors.[1] The publisher is Vickers, of 28, Holywell Street, Strand. Google gives an address for Brittain too.

The title and date suggests that this is a balloon/dirigible idea, possibly along an aerial railway. Is this associated with William Henson? He and his teammates were speaking of such things in 1843.
