Platform frame with cargo or passengers, doubled by another frame; variety of other moving parts:
- This arrangement of cams, rollers, arms and vanes provides for the support of the vanes at various and constantly changing angles relative to each other . . . The result of such arrangement is that the vanes above and in front of the shaft tend to lift the apparatus in the air while the vanes below said shaft tend to advance or propel the apparatus through the air and the vanes at the rear of the shaft feather to the air and have no perceptive effect in raising or propelling the apparatus.
upward or downward angle can be effected by moving passengers/cargo/ballast to one end or another of the platform
