This invention relates to flying machines with aeroplanes.

Objectives of this invention:

  • to Construct a flying machine which will have maximum strength and stability with minimum weight of material, and which will have a low wind resistance with maximum lifting power.
  • to so construct and position the parts as to prevent interference of the moving parts of the machine, that is the propeller-and controlling devices, with each other and with the frame.
  • to so distribute the component parts and the power plant that the center of gravity will be near the drivers seat.
  • to arrange the driving means and the power plant in a novel manner and to construct a novel form of power plant.
  • to provide balancing means which will be automatic in its operation . . . compensating means which will compensate against lateral wind pressure.
  • to provide the rudder or controlling plane or planes with a novel form of controlling or operating means and to make the connection in such a . . . .

Regarding administrative culture, and American particularities, and our own fields of data entry, Taylor, is the "assignor to" Neuberger (which isn't identical to "assigned to"), on the original document. It is the bibliographic data which gives us Taylor, definitely, as the inventor, with Neuberger, definitely, as the applicant.
