Dual, cigar-shaped balloons, carrying what might really be described as a long house, complete with windows; bamboo or cord netting: "By omitting the netting from a part of the balloon the latter may be freer to expand into a spherical shape, and therefore less strain upon the material of which the balloon is made"

  • "The object of my invention is to provide some important improvements in ships for aerial navigation. The improvements relate, first, to the arrangement of the balloons in reference to each other and in reference to the housing and cabin; and, second, to the means of propulsion which [also steer] the aerial ship."
  • Tech class: CPC B64C9/00 Adjustable control surfaces or members, e.g. rudders
  • Inventor location: Dodge City, Ford county, KS (FIPSloc=20057, imputed by HistPat); US citizen
