Range-finder uses two beams of light which might intersect; meant as gun-sight

This patent doesn't refer to aero, but an addition/successor does; it's intended to detect aircraft: Patent GB-1915-14379 Interesting case -- the parent patent is NOT about aero. The ADDITION is. Makes total sense but it's an unusual example.

  • Tech class CPC G01C3/04: Adaptation of rangefinders for combination with telescopes or binoculars
  • Inventor location: Barrister-at-law; 20 Lowndes Square, London, S.W. 1 -- he went on to be a member of Parliament
