The machine comprises inverted conical chamber O divided into three compartments, M for freight, J, L, for mechanism, and K for passengers. The machine is raised by four inclined and one vertical propeller P1, and is propelled horizontally by propellers P. The blades of these propellers may be folded down on their axles to reduce their effect, as shown in dotted lines. Planes on the sides of the machine are employed for steering purposes. An annual gas chamber D is formed so as to act as an aërostat and as a parachute in descending.
