Info from CdB 1880

Inventor Blackman must have been Albert Livingstone Blackman.

(Here we have a peculiarity, within earlier research having seemingly associated this patent filing with the patent agent Jovis, and with later, and archivally-visually verifiable research associating the filing with the patent agent Desnos. An error in data entry is possible, conceivably an error in French, Nineteenth Century, analog data entry.)

Perhaps there is another patent associated with Jovis and this one was mixed up with it.

Or, perhaps there is a cert d'addition by one agent after the original was handled by another.

Like its peers, this patent was for 15 years.
