American patent agent Harold Binney (H. Binney) (d. 1915) was recorded as being at address 141 Broadway, New York, N.Y., with registration number 450.[1]

"Harold Osgood Binney, New York, the patent lawyer, whose eccentricities involved him in frequent escapades and who died from an overdose of headache tablets, made an unusual will." This will included a request that his body be donated to science or cremated, and an affirmation in his faith in only the latter six commandments of the Decalogue.[2]
