George A. Spratt was an aero inventor and correspondent of the Wright Brothers from Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Spratt was a medical student, and people called him Doctor though it's not clear whether he completed his degree. He got interested in aeronautics and wrote to Octave Chanute in April 1899. Chanute encouraged Spratt's work on gliders and introduced him to the Wrights in June 1901. Spratt went on to participate in the Kitty Hawk trials.[1]

Spratt continued with independent aeronautic research over the next decade.[1]
