Frederick Richard Simms
Frederick Richard Simms was a consulting engineer and aero inventor in London. On one patent he gave his address as Welbeck Works, Kimberley Road, Willseden Lane, County of Middlesex
In 1895 he was one of the organizers of the Tunbridge Wells Horseless Carriage Exhibition. At some point he ran a car manufacturing company. (details to be recorded here)
He was an organizer. "Simms founded the Automobile Club of Great Britain (later the RAC) in 1897. He also assisted with the foundation of what became the Royal Aero Club."[1] He was member of many professional associations: the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Institution of Automobile Engineers, the Institution of Aeronautical Engineers, and the Society of Engineers.
