The Deutsche Versuchanstalt für Luftfahrt (DVL) was a research institution at Adlershof (Berlin), led by Professor Friedrich Bendemann.[1] (Note Adlershof is near Flugplatz Johannisthal.)
The DVL was officially formed in April 1912 with three departments: engines, aircraft, and aviation physics.[2]
