• I don't know! But I had an example: there were frequent licensing deals and I was recording a company that had one. I decided to create a slot for that and see what would happen. Tentatively if the Wrights license to another company, I'd say both companies have the other as an "affiliation". We may then see network subsets emerge -- conglomerates? It might be better to count the licensee relationship different from the licensor relationship. I don't know. But I was also thinking to count as affiliates a relationship in which a company spins off from another company or organization. Those relationships, the family tree, are definitely important to track. For my purposes, they don't have to be specified in detail in the template if they are clear in the text. -- Econterms (talk) 23:27, August 22, 2018 (UTC)
