The Silver Dart was an experimental aircraft built by the Aerial Experiment Association in 1908. It first flew in February 1909. On its fifth flight in August 1909 it crashed and was damaged beyond repair. Certain patents associated with the Silver dart were handed off when the AEA was disbanded.[1][2][3]
