Charles-Alexandre Thirion
Charles Thirion was a civil engineer, patent agent, and author of books about patents.
It appears he was a member of the Société d'encouragement pour la locomotion aérienne au moyen d'appareils plus lourds que l'air. (The entry in the membership list reads "Thirion, négociant", which could refer to a relative.)[1]
(See simply Thirion for a range of patents listed making no reference to partnership or collaboration.)
Book: Tablettes de l'inventeur et de du breveté, 1865, online at Hathitrust, scanned from NYPL.
The patent agency with which he was associated: Bonnet-Thirion
w:fr:Charles-Alexandre Thirion probably describes the same person -- but gives his lifespan as 1827–1901, raising the question of whether he could have coauthored Thirion and Bonnet, 1904 without an obvious comment about his death at the front.
