Relates to sights mounted on gymbals, and consists in providing (1) the pivots of the gymbal mounting with damping devices, and (2) a balance weight adjustable by a transverse screw to correct the balance for variations of the quantity of fluid in the damping device of the transverse pivot. In the form shown, the sighting device is one of the kind described in Specification 23502/14, [Class 92 (ii), Ordnance &c.]."
